Not there yet...

I had hoped for a much more joyous post than this for my first one back, but the simply fact of the matter is that sadly James, myself and the Castle will not be appearing at Salute this weekend.  Essentially we are all physically well, but both of us are battling with ongoing mitigating factors that have put paid to any sort of hobby time of late.

We are so desperately sorry and didn't want to let anyone down, hoping to attend right up until the end, but the fact is we are simply not able to make this work for us at the moment.  I still hope to share the Castle with a wider audience at some point, but loathed to make any promises at the moment for fear of letting you all down again.

I miss, terribly, the interactions and friendships that this most humble of weblogs has spawned and my heartfelt thanks to all those that have reached out or offered support;  I hope that, before too long, to find myself back at the helm, but until then I hope that you all stay safe and well.

  10. Great to see you post again Michael. It was becoming a bit disconcerting that we hadn't heard from you or seen any posts for such a long time. Salute is not an event I am able to attend, being across the pond as I am, but even if I was able too, the darn pandemic is making everyday things that much more of a challenge. Take care, & I am sure we all look forward to seeing you back to blogging & hobbying soon! Hobbies are like a faithful hound. They will wait!

  16. It's just nice top hear from you mate, I was getting a little concerned, so good to know you are all right, I fully understand if life is hectic that you put hobby stuff on the back burner, I wont be at Salute as I still don't feel ready to go to any crowded events yet.

Stay safe and well mate, as said above you are missed but we can wait till you're ready come back.

    Cheers Roger

  18. Such sad news for many I suspect, but you and James have real lives too and you both shouldn't be too disappointed, there are more important things in life. It is good to 'hear' from you and I hope you and yours are all well.

  19. You have been missed Sir M. Such a shame all that hard work you both put into the castle cannot be displayed yet. The time will come and we'll all see it either in the flesh or on your blog. Looking forward to it.

  26. I am assuming the mitigating factors you are referring to is the pandemic. Things are getting worse again back where I am at. The Sinovac vaccine is wearing off faster. Luckily me and the missus are getting appointments for a Pfitzer booster shot. Sigh.

  27. Take care Michael, no need to rush the castle will survive the Teeth of Time a while longer yet.
