Paint Table Saturday#12

Another weekend and so the first job of the day, after making the tea and bringing in the milk, is to photograph the working area for 'Paint Table Saturday'.  This delightfully simple idea has seen me try to ensure that at least something has happened over the week to save the embarrassment of submitting the same photograph for two weeks running - the shame of it!

So this week the Celtic War band is all but complete and so have been disguised until they have been entered in the '4th Analogue Hobbies Painting Challenge', a requirement of the rules, although you can see the Celtic cross, from 'Ainsty Castings', which was also done during the week to enhance the entry.  My focus for this weekend will be the Matabele warriors, which have already received their undercoat and some base colour.  I have picked up some more in the 'North Star Miniatures' sale, which obviously need prepping.  Finally there is some terrain building that I have to make a start on if I can get some peace and quiet from my Brachiosaurus - fortunately the 'Saintly Mrs. Awdry' has attached a bell so at least I can hear him coming and move any delicate items to the side.

Don'y forget to see what others are up to this weekend by visiting 'Sofie's Paint Blog'.

  2. Interesting. Looking forward to more painted Victoriana, it is always so well done.

Maybe they should have put bells on those in Jurassic park. It would change the film a bit.

    1. What do you call a dinosaur with one eye?

      Dyathinkesaurus?

It will be interesting to see the figures behind the question marks Michael. I'm looking forward to your finished Matabele warriors.

  10. That's a bell? At first I thought it was a scarf but them again we've been going through a brutal cold snap so everyone is wearing one. Nice to see that the Mrs. is getting into the spirit of things! Can't wait until the question marks com off.

  12. Very nicely organized Man Divot, Michael. It doesn't look to me that the dino is enjoying the neck decoration.

  13. Everything's better with dinosaurs.

You store some of your paints upside-down I see.

  14. My own workbench is looking far more modest - I'll have to lift my production rate somewhat.

Has any work been done on the ability of a strategically-placed brachiosaur to improve productivity?
