A spot of bank holiday fun today as I decided to dust of my Zombie Horde (horde might be a bit strong, more of a shambolic gathering really) and photograph them for RSquared Studios, Zombie Plague, Zombie Horde Contest!
I was alerted to the fun by the wonderfully enthusiastic Bob Kinnear of 'Bob's Zombie Apocalypse', who has a particularly Welsh slant on all things undead*, he, in turn, was directed to the contest by the creative Hybrid Horde of 'The Walking Lead' - I just love his post on 'The Eaten', inspirational work indeed.
*An Englishman through and through, I grew up in the valleys and they will always have a special place in my heart.
Well as the saying goes, "You have to be in it to win it" and it also gives me the excuse to post a couple of pictures of my undead grey, a freebie from those good people at 'Tengu Models' that made an appearance in the 'Fourth Annual Analogue Hobbies Painting Challenge'. Not the most original of paint jobs, in fact I seem to remember that I used the same palette as the British Artillery piece I was working on at the time, but it did the job and as a result I can claim a much needed positive point on the painting tally.
Love your Z's!
ReplyDeleteThank you.
DeleteThanks there for bringing this to my attention but the best thing is seeing all of your lovely Zeds again. They are wonderful and looking at them in a horde, okay gathering, they do look amazing. I love the Terracotta Army zeds.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much Pete.

DeleteVery nice mob (not enough for a horde) of zombies Michael. Excellent skills sir. Massive thanks for the blog pimp dude. I wish you well in the contest old boy.
ReplyDeleteThank you very much and you are more than welcome Sir.
DeleteThat's a lovely zombie ... gathering and I do mean lovely what it lacks in numbers it makes up for in the painting. Now where's a school girl when you need one...
ReplyDeleteThank you Robert and that reminds me that I've got some more of those fearsome schoolgirls to paint up.
DeleteA cameo appearance by the terracotta warriors, I see. A fine horde/gathering.
ReplyDeleteThank you Finch, I was fortunate to pick up the terracotta zombies when I did as they are rarer than hens' teeth now.
DeleteA delightfully disgusting gathering indeed!
ReplyDeleteThank you Scott.
DeleteA terrifying sight Sir . More zombie Hordes is the way forward.
ReplyDeleteThank you Clint, I certainly do with a few more though.
DeleteLovely work Michael, colorful and disgusting!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much Phil.
DeleteWonderful to see all the Zeds together Michael. But are there enough to take on those schoolgirls?
ReplyDeleteNot yet Tamsin we are desperately in need of a few reinforcements.
DeleteGreat Zombies!

Thank you Jimmy.
DeleteZombies are too messy. Nevertheless, yours aren't too messy.
ReplyDeleteToo kind Jay, thank you.
DeleteThose are really good looking zombies ... in a horror-enducing kind of way of course. Arrgghh there is no way I can finish painting the only zombies in my collection (from the Last Night on Earth boardgame) by the deadline though. :(
ReplyDeleteGo on, see how many you can get done!
