More from the wonderfully grotesque 'Studio Miniatures' pack that I have on the go. This time Granny and Grandson take to the streets! Once again they are great sculpts, but they did require a little bit of work to clean them up.
Nothing particularly original in the colour palette with inspiration coming mostly from the company's own website that said I'm pleased with how they turned out, especially when seen with the previous two 'shufflers' - just another fifteen to go!
Gnk...Mmmmmurrrrggghhhhh*
ReplyDelete*Should we invite the nice warm blooded, living people home for dinner, Gran?
Lovely work again, Michael!
Why thank you Ben, love the translation! ;)
DeleteHow sweet, I think.

Thank you, I think. ;)
DeleteGreat painting work!
ReplyDeleteThank you Juan.
DeleteLooks like the grandson isn´t too keen about going round to granny´s for tea. Maybe the tins of cat food are a bit off putting .
ReplyDeleteNice paint Job. One Thing....has there ever been any Zombie children, in film or models?Children who have been zombified not one´s Born to Zombies, I could imagine the process of that would be very slow.. Would seem Logical but I can´t remember ever seeing any
Episode 1 of series 1 "the Walking Dead" had a zombie child. Bryan AKA Vampifan would be the person to ask but alas he's poorly in hospital at the moment.
DeleteAlso Sophia in episode 7 or 8 of Series 2 of The Walking Dead.
DeleteGreat paint jobs by the way.
On the mini end of things:

The original Dawn head two zombie children at the airfield and Night had darling little Karen who is quite clever for her age group
DeleteWell there you go Paul a whole plethora of undead children. Sorry to hear about Bryan Clint, I hope he is on the men?

DeleteCouldn´t find any on the heresy minis link..there´s Zombies but no ankle biters there.
But,,,I just found some whilst browsing the new sculpts at hasselfree.

Thier "die laughing" Zombies look very tempting.
Wonderfully chilling, with regards to clowns, I've picked up some from Tengu Models; all prepped and ready to go!

Thank you J.D.
DeleteWonderfully gruesome Michael. You say these are nothing special, but I've liked at figures from people who've been painting zeds for years and they don't have the same sense of style that these have.
ReplyDeleteThat is incredibly generous of you Anne, they do make a wonderful distraction as each one has a separate personality so to speak as opposed to the massed ranks of redcoats.
DeleteA Granny in "Ugg Boots!" Nice work. And a keen fashion statement as well. Nicely done mate they look suitably horrid, but in a good way.
ReplyDeleteThank you Clint, I have to confess I'm really enjoying these - a bit of a guilty pleasure.
DeleteDamn nice Michael, top notch ugliness!
ReplyDeleteThank you Francis, ugliness is key!

ReplyDeleteThank you Simon, I seem to have so many of them on the table at the moment!
DeleteGranny's robe is a killer!
ReplyDeleteIt has certainly seen better days, mind you so has she!
DeleteReally charming folk, they are. Neatly painted.
ReplyDeleteThank you Andrew - charming from a distance I think!
DeleteI like these, more and more I get the urge to paint up some z'ds
ReplyDeleteIan
Go on Ian, you know you want to! ;)

ReplyDeleteThank you Dave, they are certainly growing in number!
DeleteTea at Granny's? No thank you.
ReplyDeleteModern zombies aren't my usual thing but I do very much like what you've done with these. Superb.
Thank you Finch, I have to say that I'm really enjoying these as a distraction from the norm.

ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely couple. It seems you've got a touch of zomiemania soon you'll be ordering your steak bloody. I wouldn't worry It will get all of us in the end.
ReplyDeleteAlways enjoyed a rare steak as for the zeds, I think there will be a few more to come yet!
DeleteThe paintjob is great but I don't want to have tea with granny! :-D
