By means of an apology

I have to admit that I have really enjoyed building this 'blog' as means of collecting together my thoughts, research and ultimately the documentary evidence of my fledgling collection.  A large part of this enjoyment has come from the very positive comments and encouragement that many of you have taken the time to post here at 28mm Victorian Warfare.  This growing sense of community has been a well received  extra facet but ultimately left me very frustrated.  During this process I have come across a great number of fantastic blogs and have started following them often gleaning ideas to hopefully use at a latter date but when it comes to leaving comments I am thwarted at every turn.  It appears that I cannot leave any permanent remarks!  They say they have been posted after I fill in the verification bit when I return to the main body of the blog there is nothing there.  I am, of course, trying to rectify this but if anyone can help please let me know.

  1. Blogger's been playing silly buggers of late, so hopefully patience will reward you!

  2. BTW, great blog! After the Peninsula, I think the Indian Mutiny would be my next favourite historical campaign. Such a clash of cultures with the absolute self-belief of muscular Christianity subduing the ungrateful mysterious East and all the self-righteous violence that accompanied the incomprehensible gulf!

  3. Michael - I have found that a couple of your comments on my blog have been flagged as spam (although I can't seen any obvious reason why). I try to clear my spam reasonably regularly but blogger doesn't prompt you in this area.

  4. Over at Wordpress you've commented on my blog, and having approved your first comment it automatically posts any further comments you make. I did have a blog on Blogger but I find WP much easier generally.

    Good luck though
