Zomtober 2015 - post#2
A sneaky mid-week 'Zomtober' post and given that these were technically completed before the start of the month probably illegible to count in the final tally. Unmistakably Zombicide miniatures, I thoroughly enjoyed painting these two up, although if I insist on lavishing this much attention on each miniature, I'll never get through the box!
I seem to be favouring a rather ghoulish green for the skin of these undead vixens, that I'm not sure that I like. It has just rather sneaked in as the default palette and I might need to adjust the recipe a little to give a bit more variation to the ever growing hoard.
What I love about painting these miniatures is the previously undiscovered amounts of detail that they have. It isn't until you start painting them that you realise just how much time and effort went into the sculpts, perhaps one of the reasons that I am happy to give them that extra bit of time on the painting table.
Stunning my friend. You really have given them the treatment and they 'absolutely fabulous'!! I really don't know how you do it. Jaw droopingly good.

DeleteExcellent work Michael, I agree, for soft plastics, these models do indeed have lots of detail, & best of all, no requirements to have to glue them together!

DeleteBreathtaking work, Michael! Looking at these figures it's hard to believe they're 28mm, due to the detail that you're painting's brought out. Wasn't really enamoured of the whole zombie thing, but everyone's work so far this month is making me appreciate the variety of the subject matter. Looks like I may be joining in new year...

ReplyDeleteZombicide sculpts really are extremely nice especially for what are essentially board game pieces. The grey plastic really does seem to dull them down quite a bit. I took some extras on the latest Black Plague Kickstarter just to use in Fantasy miniature gaming as the sculpts seemed very nice and full of character.
Thank you, they other thing I noticed is that the plastic seems a little harder in the more recent additions, I don't know if this is my imagination or not, but it certainly makes life a little easier.

Thank you Mr. Finch, the colours might have seemed a little over the top, but I do like the way they stand out on the board.
