Paint Table Saturday#15

Yes, I know it's a day late, but the truth of the matter is I seem to have misplaced my painting mojo!  What with the recent school inspection and subsequent down time, it has been nearly three weeks since I wielded a paintbrush in anger; this calls for some drastic action!

The Matabele are still lingering on the periphery of the painting table, but in a bid to ring the changes, I have promoted this unit of Sikh cavalry to pole position - oh and upped my target tally in the '4th Analogue Hobbies Painting Challenge' to a 1,000 points from the meagre 600 that I started with.

  5. I know what you mean about painting mojo. It ebbs and flows. But that's good it means it will come back. Hope the school inspection has gone well. Let's both get back to painting now and less procrastinating!

  6. My painting stash is not much more crowded at the moment. In fact, I've only got four 28mm figures to finish. Since the end of my previous term I've only completed a few.

  9. A visit to Vampifans blog never fails to bring back my lost mojo. What would probably work is painting more zombies, yours were excellent.

    1. Thank you Bob, that is very kind of you to say so. As for zombies, I have some Hersey ghouls that I want to get at, just as soon as the painting challenge is over.

  14. We're all rootin' for you, Michael! We know you can pull it off. BTW, I'm shocked at how clean your work mat appears - you either must clean it often or replace with new ones. Best, Dean

    1. Thank you so much Dean. As for the mat, it is a relatively acquisition - a Christmas present in fact.

  18. They're rather nice figures. Are they for the Mutiny or the Sikh Wars?

Not doing zombies until after the challenge eh? There goes my guess on how you were going to spice up that staircase in Khartoum! Perhaps Gordon will be facing down velociraptors...

    1. Good morning Edwin, these are from the marvellous Mutineer Miniatures and are hopefully going to represent the 2nd Punjab Cavalry.

As for the staircase at Khartoum, sorry no zombies, but there will definately be a twist.
