I had the same problem once too: a 28mm resin mini, but an Ogre, so about the same size (but bulkier) and just like this one, only touched base at one foot and it snapped at the ankle. Luckily resin takes pinning & super glue really well. If you find there is still a visible crack after, a bit of gesso or watered down acrylic modeling paste works great.Laughing Ferrethttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11649878935225675051noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1670400813396652991.post-30819560894514218392011-10-10T21:12:41.962+01:002011-10-10T21:12:41.962+01:00Thanks guys, the air was indeed blue! Thanks guys, the air was indeed blue!Michael Awdryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07049982879661559305noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1670400813396652991.post-78105869086603903492011-10-10T12:42:18.381+01:002011-10-10T12:42:18.381+01:00Nice work on the repair, you can't see the bre...Nice work on the repair, you can't see the break at all. I had the same problem with a 28mm Ottoman recently I was trimming of flash looked up at the film I was watching and at the same time snipped off the foot instead of flash. Doh. Look forward to seeing your progress on this "big scale" figure.Smilliehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00716663716859070170noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1670400813396652991.post-13893991643272154292011-10-10T11:07:15.349+01:002011-10-10T11:07:15.349+01:00Great repair job, if you hadn't said about it,...Great repair job, if you hadn't said about it, I doubt anyone would have noticed, I too may have gone the way of The Angry Lurker, it would be bad enough sticking the thing together in the first place!!!Ray Rousellhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07352596392520905197noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1670400813396652991.post-64787212339609638252011-10-10T09:18:47.907+01:002011-10-10T09:18:47.907+01:00Good repair job Michael. After junior Rosbif #2 knocked them onto the shed floor, I thought I'd picked them all up until I heard CRACK! underfoot: One of the officer figures had had his feet amputated at the ankles after I had trod on it unawares! One way to make sure you've found them all! A quick bit of surgery with super-glue and we're all none the wiser, eh?

20mm doesn't really compare to 54mm though; I can imagine the blue-ification of the air after breaking the captain's ankle!Ben Gilmourhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09548280904041987733noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1670400813396652991.post-52078180656190222422011-10-09T22:47:13.245+01:002011-10-09T22:47:13.245+01:00Nice miniature. looking forward to more.
